On Mother's Day 2009, we had the privilege of dedicating Miller to the Lord at our church. Both sets of grandparents were able to make it to the dedication so that made the weekend even more special.
For those of you who may ask, "what does it mean to dedicate a child?", it simply means that Maria and I committed to raising up Miller for God's glory and to be used by the Lord however He wants to and our church body committed to supporting us in that endeavor. We did the same for Maxwell when he was 7 months old so we've been anxiously awaiting to have this opportunity with Miller.
The verse we chose for Miller is Colossians 1:9-12. "For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledege of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light."
We love you Miller!
